The course of treatment will depend on the stage of the cancer, general health and personal choice.
Decisions regarding treatment will be made after consultation with one or more treating specialists, including respiratory physicians, cardiothoracic surgeons, radiation oncologists, cancer care nurses and/ or palliative care specialists. Because of the many combinations of management available, a registry was felt to be an important and necessary tool to monitor whether care was being provided in accordance with recommendations and clinical practice guidelines.
